My name is James and I am SpongieMTG. I began this site to combine my love of Magic with my newfound intrest in drawing.
I began playing Magic with Scars of Mirrodin and would describe myself as a decent player (qualified for Australian Nationals, won some smaller local tournaments and a stack of FNM’s). I enjoy playing standard the most with some dabbling into drafts. My favourite card currently would be Puresteel Paladin. I played the hell out of that deck when it was in standard and had a blast doing so.
Drawing only began in early 2012 and this web-comic also functions as a way to get me to practice more.
On a more personal note I became a dad early in 2012! It is an exciting journey raising a young child but certainly limits your free time for playing the games I enjoy.
